Our Programs
· HELPING HANDS Program
When owners are going through a financial hardship, we help with the support of their domestic pet. We maintain the pet in its current home by donating pet food and other pet needs. We are currently seeking donations of food.
· HUMANE EDUCATION Program
We work with local college students who market and manage a program for responsible pet ownership targeted towards local elementary school students.
· YOUTH VOLUNTEER Program
This program is for students and young adults and involves internships throughout the community. Our volunteer coordinator will arrange schedules based upon the volunteer’s availability. Adult supervision may be required due to age.
· INFORMATIONAL VOLUNTEER Program
This program supports efforts in the community by handing out materials at local establishments. Our volunteer coordinator provides all material/training and arranges a schedule based on volunteer availability and that of the establishment. Adult supervision may be required due to age.
· LOW COST SPAY AND NEUTER Program
Our goal is to spay 50 domestic animals annually. We give $25 to $50 towards low cost spay/neuter for pets in need. Owner must call us for approval, call vet for appointment, have vet call us prior to the procedure in order to verify, and have vet call us after procedure. We then give a credit card payment over the phone. A donation of fifty dollars is granted to the vet upon procedure completion. See Reasons to Spay/Neuter Your Pets for low cost spay and neuter clinics.
